New York’s winter has been brutal, with snow and freezing rain hitting the region.
But now, the city has a cold front, with temperatures hitting -20 degrees Fahrenheit (-9 degrees Celsius).

The weather report on Weather.tv also gave us a list of some of the worst-hit areas in the region:In New York, the worst hit was Queens, where the snowfall has been “unprecedented” and “unparalleled,” according to the Weather.org site.
“The New York City metro area is currently experiencing its most severe winter in the history of the City of New York,” it wrote.
The report said that the snowstorm that has plagued New York for the past week has been particularly brutal, even if some areas have had more snowfall than others.
“We have had snowfalls of over 5 feet on the Upper West Side and over 15 feet in the Bronx and Staten Island,” it said.
The site said the snow has been the worst for several weeks, with up to five inches falling in some places.

Andrew Cuomo has ordered the state to begin rationing food and water for residents, while Mayor Bill de Blasio has ordered city agencies to stop distributing free water to residents.
On Thursday, the Weather Channel announced that the record low of -30 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 30 Celsius) had fallen overnight, marking the coldest winter in New York history.
“There are now fewer than 100 days until February 3, 2018,” the Weather channel wrote.
