When it rains, it pours.
A shower that happens to be falling on the city of Gatlinburg, New York, isn’t going to make it through your kitchen window.
Instead, you need to take your chances with rain.
For the record, we’re not talking about a shower that makes it to your front door.
The weather isn’t that severe in the city.
We’re talking about the worst possible storm we could expect.
The rainfall is expected to fall between 7 and 12 inches, but that’s not the whole story.
Here’s what to watch out for when it does: Rainfall can be heavy, particularly if it comes during the summer months.
It can cover more than one square meter in one hour.
And if the temperature drops, the rain can be extremely dangerous.
It’s a storm that can produce dangerous wind gusts and power outages, especially in densely populated areas.

(David Zalubowski/AP) The rainstorm hitting Gatlinberg on Thursday, which is expected at least partly to rain, could bring a tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
There’s a chance of heavy winds, up to 60 km/h (40 mph), and a tornado risk of 20 to 25 per cent.
(There’s a much lower risk for a hailstorm.
It typically only has a 3 per cent chance of being a tornado.)
And the hail storm is likely to cause a lot of damage.
If you live in a city that gets a lot rainfall, you might want to stay indoors.
The rainstorms can also cause damage to roads and power lines.
It could lead to water damage and flooding in some areas.
In the event of an outage, it’s likely the power will be restored before the storm passes.
